15 Best StoriesIG Alternatives 2022

Instagram stories allow you to see what friends are up to in their daily lives. They only stay up for 24 hours, so many people use them to share small moments in their everyday lives while reserving their main profile for better, more professional pictures.

However, the downside (or upside?) of Instagram stories is that when you view someone’s story, they can see that you viewed it. If you want to stalk an ex or friend without them knowing, there is no way to view their Instagram story without them knowing you are watching what they are doing.

Of course, you can always set up a fake account, but that takes some work, and they may eventually figure out that the fake account is you and block you. Even if they don’t block you, if they figure out or suspect you created that fake account, they will know that you are stalking them.

StoriesIG is an excellent solution to this problem. It allows you to retrieve any public Instagram story on a third-party platform, without even needing an Instagram account.

Not only can you view stories, but you can download them to your device as well.

However, StoriesIG has several disadvantages. First of all, it only shows you Instagram stories posted in the past 24 hours.

It does not show you a list of Instagram highlights pinned to the profile’s main page. In addition, it does not show you Instagram posts, nor does it allow you to view a profile image up close.

Sometimes, a private account will request to follow you, and you will want to see their profile image to make sure you know them. However, profile images are very small on Instagram and can not be enlarged.

Other StoriesIG alternatives do allow you to enlarge Instagram profile images. That goes even for private accounts, as profile images are always public, regardless of whether the rest of the account is private or not.

In addition, StoriesIG is not reliable. Although I used to use it often, it has not been working well for many months, and usually just brings up an error message.

To be clear, there are several StoriesIG versions out there. For example, there is StoriesIG.net and StoriesIG.app.

However, both of them are not satisfactory. Both of them have connectivity and error issues, and even though StoriesIG.app shows you Instagram posts, it does not show you highlights.

StoriesIG.org is pretty much the same thing as StoriesIG.net; it looks like a carbon copy of it. It did not work at all for me either.

If you want to download your own content to create a backup of your Instagram profile, StoriesIG is not the best option either. It is cumbersome to use and will take a lot of time, even if you use StoriesIG.app, which does allow you to download your posts.

There are better options available.

Today, I will show you the 15 best StoriesIG alternatives for viewing Instagram stories, downloading stories, viewing posts and reels, and viewing profile images up close. Let us get into it.

The 15 Best StoriesIG Alternatives

1. Ingramer (Now Inflact)

Ingramer is now Inflact. It is an excellent alternative to StoriesIG that not only lets you view stories and download them but view posts as well. If you get blocked by an account or don’t have an Instagram account at all, you can use the profile viewer tool to see a specific profile.

In addition, Inflact makes it easy to download Instagram pictures and videos. If you want to download a video, just copy the URL and enter it into the tool, and you will be able to download it.

There is no direct way to download a video posted on someone’s Instagram profile from Instagram. However, you can do that with the Inflact Downloader Tool.

Not only can you download any picture, video, or IGTV video, but you can download entire profiles in bulk if you sign up for the premium plan. That can even be your own profile if you are afraid of having your account banned and losing your photos and want to back up your account.

A cool feature that Inflact has that StoriesIG does not is that StoriesIG will require you to visit the website and enter the profile you want to spy on manually, every time. That can get quite tiresome.

Inflact, on the other hand, allows you to monitor and track many profiles automatically, although this costs more. This feature ensures that new stories from the accounts you monitor show up in your Inflact account whenever you log in.

You won’t need an Instagram account for the automatic monitoring feature, and in no way will it be tied back to you, so the person you are spying on won’t know that you are watching them.

Since the information is retrieved via public servers, there will be no extra people showing up on their stories’ “viewer” lists either, so they will be none the wiser.

2. Instadp

Instadp is one of my favorite tools for downloading Instagram stories, highlights, and pictures. It has a very intuitive interface.

To start, enter or search for a profile in the search bar at the top of the page. Once you view an account, it will be saved in the search suggestion until you clear your cookies, so you can go back and view it again.

There will be four sections:

  1. Profile
  2. Full size
  3. Stories
  4. Reels

The thing I like most about Instadp is that when you click on the Stories tab, you will see not only stories posted in the previous 24 hours but also story highlights. The story highlights will be organized exactly as they are organized on the profile’s page, with different highlight covers/categories.

StoriesIG, on the other hand, does not show you Instagram highlights.

When you click on one of the story highlights, however, you won’t have to keep swiping left to see one story after another, like you would have to on Instagram. Instead, all the story highlights under the cover you clicked on will be available on the page, and all you will have to do is scroll down to see them all.

When you are done, just click the back button, and you will be taken back to the Stories tab, where you can click on another story highlights cover.

You can download each story and story highlight.

The Reels section will show you Instagram Reels, while the Full Size section will show you an enlarged image of the profile picture.

The downside of Instadp is that it doesn’t show you Instagram posts. It does show you how many posts and followers each account has, but it only gives you a link to their Instagram profile.

Also, Instadp now requires you to complete a two-step captcha before it will give you any results. The good part is that once you do that once, you can enter different accounts without having to redo the captcha until your session expires.

3. StorySaver.net

StorySaver.net is another favorite of mine. Unlike StoriesIG, it shows you highlights as well as current stories, and it makes it easy to view the exact highlights you want to see.

When you enter a profile, you will first see all of its stories. You can scroll down to see all the stories and download each one.

The highlights will appear after you have scrolled down and seen all current stories. Click on the View Highlights section to see a list of story highlight covers.

Scroll down to see all the covers. The highlights in each cover won’t be shown automatically; when you click on a cover, all the highlights in it will be revealed.

Then, just continue scrolling until the end of the highlights to reach the next cover.

StorySaver.net also has a video downloader tool. Just enter the URL of the Instagram video you want to download into the tool.

4. Instalkr

Instalkr is a really cool website that has a number of features that StoriesIG does not. First of all, it allows you to see both recent stories and posts.

However, it goes far beyond that as well. If you sign up for a free account, you can purchase “tracking packages,” which start at $9.99.

When you track an account, you will not only be able to see new updates but you will even be shown things that the account posted and later deleted.

You will also be shown information such as:

  • The things this account likes on Instagram
  • The posts they are writing comments on, including deleted comments
  • The accounts they are following and unfollowing
  • Other accounts who like posts made by this account
  • Other accounts writing comments on this account’s posts

All of these features are not available on StoriesIG.

However, there was one thing that I did not like about Instalkr, and that was that I had to fill out a captcha for every action. It got annoying and frustrating after a while, and I had to fill out those captchas even though I was signed in to my account.

Also, the tracking feature is somewhat limited in that you can not track accounts with huge numbers of followers, including major celebrities, since it is too much work for the tool.

5. Dumpor

Dumpor is an awesome alternative to StoriesIG because not only does it allow you to view posts and stories anonymously, but it also allows you to search Instagram for posts related to specific hashtags or locations without needing an account.

I like that it helps you find all types of accounts related to the one you’re interested in. For example, if you type Kim Kardashian into the search bar, it will bring up not only the official Kim Kardashian account but various fan accounts.

That feature can be useful when you want to research an account but do not know the exact username. In addition, it can be useful for other reasons, such as if you want to see all the top accounts associated with “New York City.”

Not only will you see the posts on your selected account, but it will also show you how many likes and comments each post got and how long ago it was posted. StoriesIG does not provide you with those analytics.

Even more than that: You can view posts in which the particular user was tagged. StoriesIG does not include such posts.

You can also download each story they posted in the last 24 hours.

6. InstaStories

InstaStories (Insta-Stories.online, not to be confused with other Insta-Stories sites) is an excellent alternative to StoriesIG. I found it very quick, as it brought up stories and posts right away, without any of the lags and errors that are so common when using StoriesIG.

You can click on any story or post to download it. Although you can only view stories and posts, the website has a great user interface, as it doesn’t take long to load and does not have too many annoying ads or pop-ups.

Neither does it have frustrating captchas, making it a great option if you want to quickly peek at someone’s stories or posts.

7. Bigbangram

Bigbangram is a good alternative to StoriesIG because it lets you download a lot more stuff, including highlights and even entire profiles! You can see a full list of their Instagram Downloader tools here.

There are separate tools for downloading:

  • Posts
  • Videos
  • Profile pictures
  • Stories
  • IGTV
  • Entire profiles

To download an entire profile, just enter the username into the appropriate tool. You will then be shown the entire profile, and you can select which photos, stories, videos, and highlights you want to download.

Bigbangram is free to use, and it also does not require you to create an account. Downloading is easy, and although it can take a bit for an entire profile to load, you don’t have to fill out annoying captchas.

8. Save Instagram

Save Instagram is an Instagram downloader tool that allows you to download photos, reels, videos, stories, and profile pictures.

It can be a bit buggy at times, so you may have to try a few times until you succeed with loading whatever you are trying to load, but it works and allows you to download a lot more than StoriesIG.

9. Anon IG Viewer

Anon IG Viewer is a StoriesIG that I love for its ease of use and quick loading times, unlike StoriesIG. It allows you to view both stories and posts and download all of them.

Also, when you type a name into the search bar, it will automatically load suggestions of the top accounts related to your search term, making it easy to find the exact content you are looking for. StoriesIG does not do that.

10. StoriesGrams

StoriesGrams, unlike StoriesIG, not only lets you download stories and posts but also gives you analytics into the account you are researching.

You will be able to download these types of media:

  • Posts
  • Profile photos
  • IGTV
  • Reels
  • Stories

Since the tool can be a bit buggy at times, try again if it does not work the first time.

You will see these analytics:

  • Total likes on the past 12 posts
  • Average likes per post for the past 12 posts
  • Total comments on the last 12 posts
  • Average number of comments per post on the last 12 posts
  • How many of the last 12 posts were images and how many were videos
  • How much time went by between each post, on average

Overall, I also like the interface more than StoriesIG’s interface. I find the user experience and layout better.

11. Instasaved

Instasaved is a great alternative to StoriesIG because it lets you download not only stories but also highlights, posts, and profile pictures. In addition, I found that it loads very quickly, much faster than StoriesIG.

Just enter any username into the toolbar, and you will see a list of their current stories. You can switch tabs for the other tools, which allow you to download highlights, posts, videos, IGTV, and profile pictures.

12. Apkun

Apkun is a great alternative to StoriesIG that lets you view both posts and stories, as well as post analytics, something that StoriesIG does not offer. It does have quite a bit of ads, but it works, so just be patient with the page.

Enter any name or hashtag to find associated profiles. Then, click on the profile to see posts and stories.

13. izoomYou

izoomYou is an excellent StoriesIG alternative for zooming in on profile pictures. It will display any profile picture, public or private, extremely enlarged, allowing you to see exactly what is going on in the profile picture, who is in the picture, and what those people are doing.

In addition, you can use izoomYou to view Instagram posts and stories.

14. 4K Stogram

4K Stogram is software that you can download to your desktop computer for the purpose of downloading Instagram stories and posts.

It has a number of features that StoriesIG does not, including the ability to download highlights and the ability to download private Instagram content if you get permission from the account owner.

Here are some of the cool features possible with 4K Stogram:

  • Download multiple Instagram posts at once
  • Download Instagram posts with their original captions
  • Download posts by location or by hashtag
  • Download Instagram stories
  • Download Instagram highlights, including their covers, and organize them into the categories they were put into by the account holder
  • Download Instagram posts from a specific time frame
  • By logging into your or a friend’s account in the app, you can download all the content, even if it is set to private. As such, 4K Stogram is a better tool than StoriesIG for downloading and backing up your own Instagram content.

The reason I am not including 4K Stogram higher in this list is that it is not free. Instead, you will have to buy a license to use the software; the good part is that you will only have to pay a one-time fee, not a recurring subscription.

Licensing starts at just $9.99, which will allow you to subscribe and track 10 Instagram accounts and download an unlimited number of stories, highlights, posts, videos, and tagged posts manually.

However, you will not be able to download posts with their captions; that costs a bit more. I suggest you check the 4K Stogram pricing page for updated pricing information.

Another downside of 4K Stogram is that you have to download the software to your desktop computer; it is not a cloud-based tool. However, you will remain anonymous.

15. Barinsta

Let us be honest. StoriesIG, and a lot of other Instagram story or post downloader websites, have a lot of ads; in addition, some may experience errors or lags retrieving certain data at times.

Barinsta is an entirely different thing altogether. Unlike StoriesIG, it is not a simple downloader but rather an entirely legit Instagram client.

It is clean and easy to use, with no annoying ads, and you do not need an Instagram account to use it. However, if you do have an Instagram account and use it to log in to the app, you will be able to download your private content, something you can’t do when you are on public mode.

However, you can always download public content, without logging in and without having an account. You can view stories, hashtags, posts, and pretty much everything else available on Instagram without ever having an account.

You can also use the client to interact with posts when you are logged in, and you can even send DMs. However, you need to download the app to your device (it is available on F-Droid and GitHub).

Wrapping It Up: What Is The Best StoriesIG Alternative?

I would stick with Inflact, as it is the most reliable of all the other websites I have used myself.

Many of these websites, despite being mostly reliable, are sometimes prone to server errors and can sometimes have lags when retrieving public content from Instagram.
